Save the date for the Tree Lafayette 2024 Annual Meeting on November 12, 2024.
The 3rd Graders at Glen Acres Elementary School learned about trees and helped plant two crabapple trees on their school grounds on Thursday. They did a great job planting. Thanks to the students.

Arbor Day was celebrated on Saturday, April 27, 2024, and 59 trees were planted along South 26th Street by community volunteers. See pictures from the event.
It was a very beautiful day to celebrate the Earth and plant some trees. The weather was great and volunteers planted 15 trees at Armstrong Park.

We planted our 4,000th tree.
Jenelle Rotar was awarded the Tree Lafayette 2022 President’s Award for her work in promoting and organizing the planting of replacement and additional trees in the Highland Park Neighborhood. 120 trees have been planted in the neighborhood. Congratulations to Jenelle for her work for her neighborhood and the community.
Target received the Tree Lafayette 2022 Environmental Award for their work in removing the highly invasive Bradford callery pear trees from their Lafayette store parking lot and planting new trees in their place. Congratulations to Target for their work for the community and the environment.

Arbor Day 2022 Celebration will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the corner of Underwood Street and 24th Street in Lafayette, Indiana
The Arbor Day 2022 Tree Planting event will be held in the morning on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Volunteers will plant 66 trees along Underwood Street in Lafayette. Congratulations to John Slaven on receiving the Distinguished Service Award from the Indiana Arborist Association. John has volunteered for 27 years for the trees of Lafayette, the community, and Tree Lafayette. John’s passion and energy drive him. Thanks John, for all that you do and your service.
