The 2020 Arbor Day Celebration event was postponed due to the coronavirus. The 2020 Arbor Day Celebration event was finally held on October 1, 2020, at 10 am at the entrance to Five Star Residences Senior Living at 250 Shenandoah Drive. Duke Energy sponsored the planting of 63 trees along Shenandoah Drive between South Street and Union Street for Arbor Day. The trees have been planted by a contractor.
