Help plant 75 trees at Columbian Park on Arbor Day, April 30th. Where: We will meet at 9:15 a.m. Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather that day. The holes will be pre-dug.
We will be planting 75 trees. Each group will have a supervisor who will give instructions and inspect the tree after planting.
We should finish by noon. Waivers will need to be signed this year and if you are under 18, you will need a guardian signature.
How to plant a tree is available on video on this web site. It has changed. We remove the cage and burlap and make the hole larger. Questions: Have any question about planting, contact Matt Green, firstname.lastname@example.org Wear closed toe shoes. Bring gloves and signed wavier. Also by parents if under 18 years of age. If available, bring a garden rake and shovel. We will provide if you do not have.
Tree Lafayette Endowment will be used for replacing trees that the Emerald Ash borer has destroyed. This fund is a gift that keeps on giving every year for replacing dead trees and replanting with new ones.
